Global PicNic Amsterdam is movement that began in June 2009 in the Oosterpark right next to the Dapper neighbourhood in Amsterdam East, The Netherlands. Home of the famous Dapper Market. Focus was and is on enabling / facilitating of real and deep contact between people and communities in Public Space. In essence: All people are brothers and sisters. #fromspacetoplace. Inspired very much by Fred Kent en Kathy Madden, founders of Project for Public Spaces (PPS) and Placemaking X, we organized many Placegames wit and for communities. It always begins with deep contact , with community as expert. Our mission: #livabletolovable en #spacetoplace . Together with inhabitants, entrepreneurs and visitors.
